Geeke Hissink has a large advisory and litigation practice with a focus on employment law, public service law and pension law. Geeke works mainly for governments and non-profit institutions such as employers’ organisations and educational and healthcare institutions. In addition to regular employment law and (collective) dismissal cases, she also deals with the employment law consequences of transfers of undertakings, assignment changes, joint ventures and transfer of duties.
Geeke: “I find cases that are directly related to current affairs the most appealing. These are often cases for which the path has not yet been cleared. For example, many changes are taking place in the positions of civil servants as a result of the transfer of duties and collaborations. The challenge is to find an effective solution to these consequences for human resources. This forces you to focus on your client’s questions and to become genuinely interested and involved.”
